Big Y has introduced fresh-made sushi in five stores. Each store has a dedicated sushi chef who prepares the sushi fresh-to-order.“It is totally different from that old notion of 'supermarket sushi,'” Big Y wrote in a Facebook post last week.
The sushiis available in South Hadley and Wilbraham, Mass., and Torrington, North Branford and Guilford, Conn. The retailer hopes to bring sushi to additional stores in the future.
