LesserEvil Healthy Brands, a US-based snack food manufacturer, has introduced Chia Pop in about 80 Wegmans stores across the northeast.

Chia Pop is made with milled Salba Chia and offers nutrients including protein, fiber, minerals, antioxidants, and omega-3 fatty acid. It is Non-GMO Project verified, gluten free, organic whole grain popcorn, free from artificial ingredients, according to the LesserEvil Healthy Brands.

Chia Pop, manufactured in three variant flavors such as Theater Style, Salt and Pepper, and Aged White Cheddar, is available in all Wegmans stores across Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Commenting on the launch LesserEvil Healthy Brands president and CEO Charles Coristine said that the company has put efforts to to produce the low-calorie organic popcorn.

LesserEvil Healthy Brands, founded in 2004, manufactures snacks without trans fats, preservatives, artificial flavors and colors, high fructose syrup and gluten ingredients. The company's product range includes Krinkle Sticks, Kettlecorn and Chia Pop.
