Dunkin' Donuts, an American coffee and baked goods retailer, has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with existing franchise group, Travel Mart, to open seven new restaurants in La Crosse and Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The first restaurant, under the plan, will be opened in 2014 and the remainder by 2020.

Travel Mart, a retailer of fuel and food products in convenience stores, currently operates six Dunkin' Donuts in Wisconsin and, in addition to the latest deal signed.

Dunkin' Donuts franchisee Gary Gussel said the company the deal will expand the brand presence further in western Wisconsin.

"We have a passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of our Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the years to come," Gussel added.

Founded in 1950, Dunkin' Donuts operates more than 10,500 outlets in 31 countries worldwide.

For the fiscal 2012, Dunkin' Donuts' restaurants had global franchisee-reported sales of approximately $6.9bn.
