The flexible packaging supplier joins food producer and marketer H.J. Heinz, medical device packaging and testing firm, DDL, and recycling directory host, Earth911, to bring the total membership to 29 companies. AMERIPEN also announced 1 June as the deadline for new members to join and participate in the second annual meeting of members on 26-27 June, which will set the agenda for next year’s actions.
Joan Pierce, AMERIPEN executive director, said: “I'd like to offer a sincere welcome to our four new members, and I hope they will be active contributors to our initiatives that are building a future where all production, distribution, and consumption are sustainable.
"I'd also like to urge all stakeholders in the packaging value chain to take advantage of our extended deadline, and become members now so that they can join this important work.”
