US-based food service provider Culinary Software Services has introduced ChefTec 13x, a food service software which tracks and manages the wastage of food.ChefTec 13x is an upgraded version of ChefTec, which has the ability to track waste from all areas within an operation.
The new version will provide flexibility and customer customization for the facility. The nutrition fact labels can also be customized with logos, barcodes, prices and batch numbers by using this upgraded software.
Two new vendor EDI interfaces will reduce ChefTec data entry time in updating vendor pricing and the interfaces will allow invoices to be imported directly into ChefTec from the vendors' FTP site.
Culinary Software Services general manager Bev Daniels remarked that this year's drought is showing an impact on the food prices.
"Our customers love these seamless vendor interfaces because it allows them to do this without any data entry on their part. Also, the Food Waste Tracking and Management Module will be a great boon on keeping costs down," added Daniels.
