Sealed AirSealed Air recently launched the 'Wash and Eat' range of packing for fresh produce. These convenience packs are aimed at food service and can enhance and give protection to fruits such as soft fruit grapes and cherries.

The tubs were originally launched for retailers last year and have now been made available for the food service industry. As the name suggests, the tubs make it easy for consumers to wash the fruit, they just have to fill them up with water give them a shake and drain the water off using the perforated lid.

Mark Byrne, UK & European General Sales Manager at Sealed Air, explains, "because the tubs aren't sealed with a film as with some other fruit containers, they can also be used for storage in the fridge."

The tubs are manufactured in APET and can be printed with the company's full product branding in up to eight colours.
