rect-to-consumer brand Australian NaturalCare is bringing calamari oil certified as sustainable by Friend of the Sea to Australia for the first time.The product, Calamari Oil 1000, contains Calamarine squid oil produced by Norwegian company Pharma Marine, the only squid oil producer to get Friend of the Sea certification.
“In light of growing concerns about the ongoing viability and sustainability of fisheries around the world, Australian NaturalCare are excited to be associated with Friend of the Sea as part of our commitment to a more sustainable future,” said CEO and sustainability advocate Peter Jamieson.
Paolo Bray, founder and director of Friend of the Sea, called NaturalCare’s announcement a “commitment to sustainability in the Australian market.”
