AAK has agreed to acquire the oils and fats business of CSM Benelux NV in Merksem, Belgium. CSM Benelux NV supplies bakery markets in Belgium, The Netherlands and France. The company had revenues of about SEK 970 million in 2013.The acquisition includes the factory in Merksem, the sales force, application specialists and a bakery innovation center. Merksem will begin contributing to AAK’s operating profit during the second half of 2015. The acquisition is subject to approval by the competition authorities and following works council procedures.
