The spinach from Shandong is packaged in bags in the production areas and directly transported to the market for retail. The price is relatively low. The spinach from Hebei is bundled in the production areas and repackaged in the market according to client demand. The price is relatively high.
The current supply of spinach mainly consists of greenhouse spinach. As temperatures increase, the spinach will grow quicker, and the production volume will increase. When the supply volume grows, the price falls. When the temperature rises even higher the greenhouse spinach will gradually be replaced by open-field spinach, which is much cheaper because the production cost is lower.
