GACC Announcement No. 165 of 2018(Announcement on Permitting the Import of Niigata Rice in JapanIt was assessed that it was allowed to import rice from Niigata, Japan. Relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
1. Niigata rice in Japan refers to the brown rice produced in Niigata Prefecture and processed by Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Rice is produced by processing plants registered by GACC (please visit the website of GACC for a list of enterprises).
2. When importing Niigata rice from Japan should meet the requirements of Chinese food safety and phytosanitary laws and regulations.
This announcement shall be implemented from the date of its promulgation.
