Major reform and improvement of “Edible Salt Monopoly Regulation” were as follows: I. Uphold and improve the system for fixed-point production and selling of edible salt; II. Abolish planning management in production, transportation and sales of edible salt; III. Abolish the system of production & marketing isolation and territorial limitation for edible salt; IV. Reform the pricing mechanism of salt.
