Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is unlikely to bid for Family Dollar Stores Inc. after an internal review of the takeover target according to reports.

Dollar General Corp. offered $9.7 billion for Family Dollar Stores Inc., (FDO challenging Dollar Tree Inc.'s agreed $8.5 billion takeover of the disc
