On January 28, 2019, China National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) solicited public opinions on 3 food additives with expanded usage: Caramel colour class IV (Ammonia sulphite process), Sodium stearoyl lactylate and Iron Oxide Red. 1. Caramel colour class IV (Ammonia sulphite process)
The quality specification shall be in compliance with National Food Safety Standard Food Additives Caramel colour (GB 1886.64-2015).
2. Sodium stearoyl lactylate
The quality specification shall be in compliance with National Food Safety Standard Food Additives Sodium stearoyl lactylate (GB 1886.92).
3. Iron Oxide Red
The quality specification shall be in compliance with National Food Safety Standard Food Additives Iron Oxide Red (GB 1886.252-2016).
